eBay UK Selling Fees in 2026

This eBay fee calculator UK page estimates seller fees and profit in pounds. It separates UK private sellers from business sellers because eBay applies different rules to each account type.

UK private seller fees

For a UK-based private seller, ordinary domestic sales are free: there is no final value fee or regulatory operating fee. Private sellers receive 300 free listings each month, or 400 with a Shop; additional listings cost 35p. Optional upgrades and Motors fees are separate. Delivery to an overseas address adds a 3% international fee.

UK business seller fees

Business sellers pay a category-based final value fee on the total amount of the sale, including item price, buyer-paid postage and applicable taxes. The variable fee is accompanied by a per-order charge of 30p for orders up to £10 or 40p above £10. A 0.35% regulatory operating fee also applies. eBay's published business rates exclude VAT, so this calculator adds 20% VAT to applicable fees.

Popular eBay UK category rates

Current business rates before VAT include 12.9% for Crafts and several other categories, 12.5% for Business, Office & Industrial, 11.9% for Clothes, Shoes & Accessories, 10.9% for Antiques and many collectable categories, and 9.9% for Books, Cameras, Computers, Films, Mobile, Music and Sound & Vision. Tiered profiles for vehicle parts, selected electronics, jewellery, watches, handbags, trainers and Home & DIY are built into the calculator.

International, performance and advertising fees

For UK business sellers, international fees before VAT are 1.05% for the Eurozone and Northern Europe, 1.8% for the US and Canada, and 2% for other countries. Below Standard status can add 6 percentage points to the final value fee. Eligible Premium Service listings from Top-rated sellers may receive a 10% discount on the variable final value fee. Promoted Listings and optional upgrades are additional.
